A famine turns into a blessing... A son who was dead is now alive... Our God is an awesome God! Luke 15:11-32

This week...
We discussed the parable of the lost son in Luke 15:11-32.

Casey even gave out some homework. Study Isaiah 57:14-21 alongside the parable of the lost son. What parallels do you see in these verses?

Next week...
I guess I'm not sure? But come, it is bound to be eye-opening and inspirational! Perhaps there will be donuts involved. :)

~ Sunday, March 25th - there is a Sunday school teacher meeting for the first 10 minutes of our normal meeting time. Pastor Ben would ask that anyone available to spend 10 minutes in with the babies, 2-3 yr olds, and the kindergarten class rooms would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great week!

When All Else Fails: Luke 8:40-48
We talked about Jesus' encounter with the woman from the crowd. As Jesus was on his way to heal Jarius' dying daughter, a crowd of people surrounded him. Although the crowd had "almost crushed him," Jesus knew immediately when this woman had touched his robe and she was healed because of her faith.

Next week we will review all of the encounters with Jesus that we have discussed.

Prayer Requests:
* Brian Anderberg - has had an up and down week. His chemo was much stronger
* Jessica Baas - baby coming soon!
* Pastor Mike -as he is beginning to build relationships with the youth and youth leaders

Happy Super Bowl Sunday or Cheese Dip Day or whatever it is to you!!

Today...
We discussed Jesus's encounter with Peter in John 21:1-19. There is a lot to dig into these scriptures and some home study questions...

Q1: Do you think Peter just enjoys fishing, or is this a step back to his old career and way of life before he became a follower of Jesus? How do you come to this conclusion? Does Luke 5:1-11 weigh into your answer?
Q2: If a close friend abandoned you, how would you respond to this sort of less-than-total commitment later? What does Peter discover about Jesus through Jesus' response to him (v15)?
Q3: How would you honestly answer Jesus' three questions? What would Jesus say to you in response?

Prayer Point: Seek Jesus' forgiveness for any failure. Thank Him that He responds to you with grace and love.

Next week....
Set Free: Mark 5:1-20
The discussions are independent of one another, so please come if you can?
